Getting to Fluffy Paws from Fort York & CityPlace
From Fort York Boulevard and Spadina it is a 20 to 25 minute walk: west along Fort York Blvd, north over the Garrison Crossing pedestrian bridge into Stanley Park, then up to Queen and west to Sudbury Street. By transit, the 504 King or 501 Queen streetcars from Spadina both get you within a short walk. Many CityPlace clients simply drive: it is under ten minutes and Sudbury Street parking is forgiving.
Around Fort York & CityPlace
- Garrison Crossing, the pedestrian bridge that turned CityPlace-to-Liberty-Village into a genuinely pleasant dog walk
- Canoe Landing Park and its dog run, which most of our CityPlace dogs know well and most of their owners have mixed feelings about
- Fort York National Historic Site, whose grounds make the best low-traffic leash walk in the area
CityPlace is condo density at its most concentrated, and it shows in what people need from us: boarding for frequent flyers, flexible daycare for shift workers, and an alternative to a crowded condo dog run for adolescent dogs with more energy than the pad can hold.
A Fort York & CityPlace Regular
A lab mix I'll call Biscuit lives in a CityPlace tower with a balcony view of the dog run he outgrew by month six. His owners work hospital shifts, so his schedule is nobody's schedule: some weeks two daycare days, some weeks a five-night boarding stay booked on 48 hours' notice. The routine that saved them was the Garrison Crossing walk over the rail corridor, dropping Biscuit with us on the way to the streetcar. He now treats the bridge as the official start of his workday.
Dog Boarding for Fort York & CityPlace Residents
Many of our Fort York & CityPlace clients actually come to us for overnight boarding first — condo living and frequent travel go together. Boarding is $85/night ($95 on peak long-weekend nights) and includes 3+ individual daily walks, supervised play with the daycare group, three meals a day with the food you bring, medication administration, and photo/video updates. Dogs who attend even occasional daycare settle into boarding much faster — the space and the people are already familiar.
