Getting to Fluffy Paws from Queen West
This is our closest neighbourhood after Liberty Village itself: from Queen and Ossington it is a 10 to 12 minute walk, straight along Queen to Sudbury Street and one short block south. The 501 Queen streetcar stops steps from our corner, but at this distance nearly everyone walks.
Around Queen West
- Trinity Bellwoods Park and its famous dog bowl, a ten-minute walk east and the subject of some strong opinions in our parks guide
- The Ossington strip, whose patio culture is responsible for a measurable share of our "running late, thank goodness you are open until 9" pickups
- The Queen streetcar itself: half our Queen West puppies did their streetcar desensitization homework on this very line
Queen West brings us the most walk-in-distance daycare regulars: creative-industry owners with flexible schedules who use two or three days a week to keep high-energy dogs sane. It is also where most of our first-time puppy consultations come from, usually a few weeks after someone brings home a very ambitious rescue.
A Queen West Regular
A scruffy terrier I'll call Mochi lives above a shop near Queen and Ossington and commutes to us on foot, which takes his owner about twelve minutes and takes Mochi forty-five, because Queen West is a smell museum and he reads every exhibit. He is a three-day-a-week regular whose owner works from home; daycare is what keeps "working from home with a terrier" from becoming a contradiction. His boarding stays during gallery-fair season go smoothly for one reason: by now, our place is just his second address.
Dog Boarding for Queen West Residents
Many of our Queen West clients actually come to us for overnight boarding first — condo living and frequent travel go together. Boarding is $85/night ($95 on peak long-weekend nights) and includes 3+ individual daily walks, supervised play with the daycare group, three meals a day with the food you bring, medication administration, and photo/video updates. Dogs who attend even occasional daycare settle into boarding much faster — the space and the people are already familiar.
What Queen West Dogs Get at Fluffy Paws
Every daycare day includes supervised play grouped by size, energy, and temperament; 2 individual outdoor walks (not group walks); behavior-training reinforcement at no extra cost; meals if you bring your dog’s own food; medication administration; and daily photo/video updates.
