Getting to Fluffy Paws from Parkdale
From Queen and Lansdowne it is about a 20 minute walk straight east along Queen to Sudbury Street. The 501 Queen streetcar makes it effortless: eastbound to the Sudbury stop and one block south. Coming by car, it is under ten minutes along Queen or King.
Around Parkdale
- Sorauren Park, whose evening off-leash culture is a Parkdale institution and works best for dogs who already have solid group manners
- The 501 Queen streetcar, the straight line that makes us a fifteen-minute door-to-door trip for most of Parkdale
- The Queen and Roncesvalles junction, where several of our long-time walk clients start their weekend lake loops
Parkdale sends us the full spectrum: high-energy rescues who need structured play more than open chaos, apartment dogs whose barking was becoming a lease issue, and long-summer boarding stays. The 501 connection matters more here than anywhere; for most Parkdale clients we are genuinely closer, door to door, than anything requiring a transfer.
A Parkdale Regular
A husky mix I'll call Olive came to us from a Parkdale one-bedroom with what her owner generously called "opinions about being alone." The neighbours had less generous words. Olive started at two daycare days a week, riding the 501 like a seasoned commuter, and the noise complaints stopped within a month, not because we fixed her feelings about solitude but because a husky who has wrestled since 8 AM has no feelings left by evening. She boards with us every August when her owner tree-plants up north.
Dog Boarding for Parkdale Residents
Many of our Parkdale clients actually come to us for overnight boarding first — condo living and frequent travel go together. Boarding is $85/night ($95 on peak long-weekend nights) and includes 3+ individual daily walks, supervised play with the daycare group, three meals a day with the food you bring, medication administration, and photo/video updates. Dogs who attend even occasional daycare settle into boarding much faster — the space and the people are already familiar.
